| Horribly Hilly Hundreds
The Horribly Hilly Hundreds are a set of bike rides starting in the Village of Blue Mounds and ending at the top of our very own Blue Mound State Park. The rides are 100k and 200k. The routes take riders through the many scenic hills and valleys of the uplands. Are you up for the challenge? The Friends of Blue Mound were a major contributor for last year's ride on June 18. The Friends made all the Viking Goulash, aided in the registration and packet pick-up, helped at rest stations, helped with parking control and after-party clean-up. By most accounts, last year's event went pretty smoothly. We were glad of all the help the park staff gave to make the event a positive one. If you would like to see how other groups helped out, see the Horribly Hilly* website. *link exits this site The 2006 event is already in the works. The Friends are thankful that St. Ignatius church in Mount Horeb will allow us to make the Viking Goulash in their kitchen. We can also store our goulash there until we need it. In this way, we can make the delicacy with a large group instead of each member making a small portion.
